TPR ROCKS!!!!
I've been eagerly anticipating catching Strawberry Guy ever since I first came across them years ago. The initial track that grabbed my attention was Zombie, found on their website, and from that instant, I was captivated. It did take an eternity for their complete album to finally drop here in the US, but in my view, the wait proved to be worthwhile.
Taylor was on the verge of being tardy for the gig due to circumstances beyond her control and mentioned she hadn't slept for 36 hours. Nevertheless, she still delivered an impressive performance.
The night kicked off with the opening acts, starting with A Thousand Horses, a fantastic Southern Rock band that set the tone for the evening with their rocking performance.
Runner Runner, another energetic band, didn't quite captivate me as much as A Thousand Horses did, but I acknowledge that personal preferences play a role in this judgment.
As for The Pretty Reckless, Taylor and the band definitely lived up to expectations, although they missed out on playing all the tracks from their album and kept the set list relatively short. Taylor exuded immense energy on stage, and there were humorous interactions with "Squishy" and the sound guy giving candid feedback to the Lead Guitarist.
Though the show concluded abruptly, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the only reason I refrained from awarding it 5 Stars was the brevity of the set list and the omission of some album tracks. Apart from these minor points, there's not much to fault.
